This is one of the very first designs I’ve drawn - it may be familiar to you and that’s because this is the cover art for the first book I ever wrote. It look me around 2h to draw honestly and I’m proud of how it turned out. The design is supposed to show that the beauty of a rose still has its vices, through its thorns. I wanted the design to represent that (seemingly) happy people sometimes have the darkest secrets.

JUST THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW
I DON’T NEED OR WANT
YOU TO FEEL SORRY FOR ME
NOR DO I NEED YOU TO FEEL
LIKE YOU HAVE TO GO THAT EXTRA MILE
I DIDN’T HAVE YOUR HELP
WHEN I HAD TO PULL MYSELF
OUR OF THE DARK ENDLESS HOLE
I WAS PUSHED INTO
AGAIN AND AGAIN
I WANTED TO SHARE MY STORY
WITH YOU
IT WAS BECAUSE I-
JUST THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW
Each poem is written by me, found in my book “Just Thought You Should Know”, which you can find here!
I would like to say that I will be donating a portion of my profit (from all purchases)* to organizations supporting child and teen mental health†.
You can find out more about why by clicking here
I will be posting donation updates on my Instagram @storyofthomast
*Currently, this will be an ongoing thing, but I must include an asterisk to protect me legally because due to unknown circumstances, I may not be able to continue with the donations.
†Please note that your purchases will first and foremost be supporting me and my art. Yes, I will be making donations but that is something I intended to be cut out of my profits, not something I added to the cost of my product to come out of your pocket. Again, to legally protect me, I want to emphasize that your decision to purchase from me is to support my art, not to donate to my cause.
