My default answer to “how are you?” is either “I’m good, thanks” or “fine, thanks.” I think it’s a mix of being uncomfortable sharing the truth of how you feel and pretending you’re ok, just because that’s the easiest. This design is what I envisioned when I started drawing it: telling people you’re ok but lying about it, represented by the crossed fingers.
